The recurring problem in Central Oregon is fill. Our reports note lines disappearing from radar under driveways and pads built up with imported material, only becoming visible again where they return to native ground. Gravel drives and rock landscaping are widespread on acreage here and both affect radar returns. Small-diameter laterals and irrigation running close to mainline can be hard to separate, and soil composition sometimes limits how much of a run can be established. Wells, pump houses and shop feeds spread across large parcels are the norm rather than the exception.
